minocqua
This 20-year-old lake house in Minocqua, Wisconsin received a complete transformation, creating a bright and welcoming retreat for this growing family. The original home interior was wrapped in red oak — from the walls and paneling to the floors and kitchen cabinetry. We refreshed the kitchen with new cabinets in a warmer stain and removed a majority of the wood paneling throughout the home, except for the entry walls, which were preserved to maintain a sense of warmth and history.
For the fireplaces, we filled the deep grout joints and applied a fresh layer of mortar over the stone, brightening the hearths while keeping their character. All bathrooms were updated with new tile, plumbing fixtures, wallpaper, and lighting, creating a fresh, modern look.
The entire home was furnished by our team, with thoughtful selections that balance comfort and practicality. This two-and-a-half-year project was a labor of love, and we couldn’t be happier with the result — a lake house that feels both timeless and completely renewed.
